Previously, in order to add a candidate to a job in the MyPeople Recruit system, users were only able to add candidates inside a vacancy.
In order to allow recruiters and recruiting organisations to add large numbers of their candidates at once, for example as part of a process to assess candidates at volume we have implemented a way to bulk upload candidates outside of any job vacancy.
When adding candidates to the candidates table, users are able to choose to bulk upload candidates
from a downloadable upload template.
Users must download the template, and populate it with the data for their candidates.
For each candidate, the file will need to be populated with the following data fields completed:
- First name
- Last name
- Email address
- Language
Then Select the newly updated file:
The user will then be able to specify when to send the candidate assessment to the uploaded candidates:
- Choose to send immediately
- specify a future date and time
The user will be able to specify the email notification details for the assessment email by amending/editing:
- From name
- Subject
- Message body
When uploaded successfully, the candidates table will show a new button "Uploads"
- the user will be informed the upload was successful
- they will be informed of how many candidates were uploaded successfully
- they will be informed of how many candidates were attempted but not uploaded
- the uploaded candidates will be displayed in the candidates table on the candidates tab
If the upload fails, the user will be informed the upload has failed and can click on the erroneous line, when they will be given a reason for the failure.
- Existing candidates will be identified by their email addresses and the upload will fail
- If there are any unexpected characters, or the format of the template is not adhered to the upload will fail.
- If the template is not used or the format amended, the upload will fail
Bulk uploaded candidates outside of a job will be invited to complete the works styles and culture questionnaire and the invite will of course not reference a particular job or job name.
