Partner Portal: The MyPeople Gateway

Modified on Mon, 1 Sep at 12:15 PM

Overview

Many of our partners work across multiple customer organisations, managing several MyPeople instances at once. Each customer has their own dedicated platform with its own database, ensuring full data separation and security.

For partners, however, managing multiple URLs and logins can quickly become complex. To simplify this, we have developed the MyPeople Gateway — a central portal where partners can view and access all of their customer platforms in one place.

The Gateway provides:

  • A single point of access to multiple customer systems.

  • Single Sign-On (SSO) into each customer’s MyPeople platform.

  • Tools for creating new customer systems.

  • User management for both the Gateway itself and individual customer platforms.

Accessing the Gateway

Each partner has their own Gateway, which can be branded and configured to their needs. The Gateway URL follows this format:

https://partnername.mypeoplegateway.com

When logged in, users will only see the customer platforms that they are authorised to access. Permissions ensure that:

  • Users only see customers they have access to.

  • Users’ roles within each customer system determine what they can do once inside that system.

Using the Gateway

My Dashboard

The Dashboard is the central view in the Gateway. It displays all customer platforms that the user has permission to access.

From here, a user can:

  • View the list of their customers.

  • Access a customer system by clicking “Visit Site”.

  • A new tab will open, and the user will be logged in automatically via SSO.

Setup Considerations

When creating a new Gateway for a partner, the following options are configured:

  • Gateway Name

  • Branding – we can apply simple themes and add partner or customer logos.

  • Gateway Users – who should have access, what their permission levels should be, and which customer platforms they can see (specific customers or all customers).

  • Customer Names – the customer systems to be created in the Gateway.

  • Branding Choices – should customer platforms display the partner’s branding, or customer-specific branding? For customer branding, we will require a good-quality logo/image.

Key Benefits

  • Simplified access: no need to manage multiple URLs or logins.

  • Controlled visibility: users only see the customers and permissions assigned to them.

  • Efficiency: partners can quickly create and configure new customer platforms.

  • Flexibility: support for partner branding or customer-specific branding.

This concludes the description and setup of the MyPeople Gateway, enabling partners of all types to manage multiple customers through a single, secure access point.
