The MyPeople platform provides a flexible performance review capability that supports different review styles, customisable content, and powerful scoring logic. Reviews are designed to give organisations an accurate and actionable picture of employee performance while providing a structured process for feedback and development conversations.
There are four main types of performance review available:
Employee & Supervisor Reviews – a two-stage process where the employee completes a self-assessment before their manager adds their own assessment.
Self-Assessment - completed by the employee only, without input from the manager.
Supervisor-Only Reviews – completed by the manager only, without input from the employee.
Peer Reviews – gather input from multiple respondents, such as peers, managers, direct reports, or even the employee themselves.
Each review type can be configured to suit your organisation’s performance management process.
Structure of a Review
Performance Reviews are made up of two components: Templates and Target Groups.
Templates
Reviews are initially designed and configured as templates. When a review is created, the user selects a template, and the relevant sections and questions are automatically included. Templates ensure consistency and save time when running reviews across multiple employees or groups.
Templates can include:
An optional Goals section, which automatically pulls in each employee’s personal goals from their profile.
One or more Custom sections, built from questions created by the organisation.
Scoring is calculated as follows:
Each goal or custom question receives a score.
These scores are aggregated into a section score.
Section scores are then aggregated to provide an overall performance score.
Both questions/goals and sections can be weighted so that some contribute more heavily to the final performance score than others.
Target Groups
Reviews are aimed at a defined set of employees, either:
All employees, or
A target group.
Target groups are created using filters (known as lookups). Lookups can include categories such as department, team, location, or other organisational fields. Some lookups are automatically calculated, such as salary range or length of service.
Target groups can be built using one or more filters, or by selecting individuals directly. This flexibility allows reviews to be rolled out across entire departments or tailored to specific groups.
