The MyPeople platform supports four different types of performance review. Each type offers flexibility in how feedback is gathered, scored, and used in performance conversations.
Employee & Supervisor Reviews:
Employees complete their self-assessment first.
Once submitted, their manager is notified and completes their side of the review.
Managers can view employee scores and comments before adding their own.
Only the manager’s scores are used to calculate the employee’s overall score.
Both perspectives are shown in the employee’s review report, which serves as the basis for the performance discussion.
Most common review type and used as part of inclusive and progressive performance review programmes
Self-Assessment Reviews:
- The review is sent to employees for their views on their own performance
- The manager does not complete the review but can access the results
- Suited to situations where manager scoring is not feasible or where employees are encouraged to own their development
Supervisor-Only Reviews:
The review is sent directly to the manager.
The employee does not complete a self-assessment.
Suited to situations where self-assessment is not appropriate or practical, but manager feedback is still required.
Peer Reviews:
Configured for one employee at a time.
Multiple respondents can be invited (manager, peers, reports, the employee themselves).
Scores are aggregated across respondents.
Weighting can be applied to each respondent type (e.g., manager feedback counts more than peer feedback).
Provide a rounded perspective of an employee’s performance, drawing on feedback from multiple viewpoints.
Best suited for taking a deeper dive into a specific individual's performance rather than organisation-wide review programmes.
